GNO-STEM 2026: Physical Science
July 13th - 17th, 2026
In partnership with the Greater New Orleans STEM Initiative (GNOSTEM), the LIGO Science Education Center, with support from the U.S. National Science Foundation, hosted a hands-on workshop for middle and high school teachers. Educators explored classroom-ready resources, practical teaching strategies, and interactive demonstrations to strengthen physics and physical science instruction while inspiring student curiosity.
The workshop was held at the University of New Orleans and the LIGO Livingston Observatory in Livingston, Louisiana.
