On Saturday, February 16th, LIGO opens to the public for tours, activities and SCIENCE! In February, we honor Valentine's day with Magnetic ATTRACTION! Experiment with magnets, metal and more! Balance a pencil in its tip, see how easy it is to make a compass, and understand how we control our mirrors!
Tours are conducted roughly every 30 minutes from 1 PM - 4 PM. LIGO's Science Saturdays are free and open to the public - you can drop in any time from 1-5 PM. We request that groups of 15 or more let us know that you intend to come by filling out a tour request form.
