On Saturday, January 19th, LIGO opens to the public for tours, activities and SCIENCE! In January, we recognize that life is BALANCING ACT! Experiment with center of gravity and things that affect balance! Wear the balancing act goggles, see if you can touch your toes in the wall challenge, see how many wood blocks you can balance beyond the edge of a table, and more!
Tours are conducted roughly every 30 minutes from 1 PM - 4 PM. LIGO's Science Saturdays are free and open to the public - you can drop in any time from 1-5 PM. We request that groups of 15 or more let us know that you intend to come by filling out a tour request form.
