Science Saturday @LIGO Livingston Expanded Hours Oct 21st

News Release • October 3, 2017

On October 21st LIGO Science Education Center in Livingston, LA, will be hosting it's monthly Science Saturday  when we are open to the public.  Due to increased attention from the Nobel Prize announcement we will expand our Science Saturday so that we are open from 10 AM - 5 PM.

To honor Halloween we will be celebrating Tricky Science such as detecting Gravitational Waves and optical illusions.  Tours are conducted every 20-30 minutes from 10 AM - 4 PM.  Dr. Gabriela Gonzalez will give a talk at 2:30 PM about the gravitational waves we've seen so far.

LIGO's Science Saturdays are free and open to the public  - you can drop in any time from 10 AM - 5 PM.  We request that groups of 15 or more let us know that you intend to come by filling out a tour request form.
