Framework classes have been defined to give developers a standardized development and execution environment for monitoring. This should simplify the development and maintenance of the monitor code by providing the basic process management and data manipulation functions, providing a common upgrade path and obviating the redundant development of basic code. C++ base classes provide the basic structure of the monitor programs and libraries provide utility functions. A thin interface layer is also provided to extend the monitor functions to the C language.
