Date: June 20th, 2001

Attendees: Malik Rakhmanov (Florida), Bill Kells, Erika, Hiro, Andrea, Ed Maros, Matt, Biplab(Caltech)

Bill Kells talked about his FFT studies (mainly based on a condensed form of his old note)... Thermal lensing of LIGO I... How the value of ~14900 meter was arrived at for the radius of curvature of the recycling mirror to compensate for the thermal lensing effect in a hot state .... (In absense of thermal lensing it would have been ~9890 m)...

The implications of setting a lower value of refractive index in input mirror of E2E's LIGO model to perform approximately correct simulation of the hot state were discussed.
