IV.    TASKS:    A task list, T040016, splits up the work associated with the C. PTYPE QUAD T040016
Janeen, Calum and Mike Lloyd have also discussed progressive prototyping, leading to a 4 stage pendulum.
This is underway at Cal tech, link to pictures from SUS summit

2. RECOMMENDED (and existing) TOOLS
I. CAD:
A. Drawing Guidelines & Templates
Templates for DCN, Documents etc ... are available at "LIGO link" & "CIT link" & "others by MPL (for drawing templates see B)
ACTION: - CIT / DC to distribute Drawing Guidelines, LIGO-E030350 by  DC and CIT
B. Drawing Templates
    i. Advanced LIGO SUS: A Summary of the Drawing and Data Templates, Macros, Bill of Materials and Customized Toolbox
created for SolidWorks and an Introduction to the LIGO Cal tech PDMWorks, includes embedded .zip file, D030382
ii. Advanced LIGO SUS Customised Toolbox for SolidWorks, D030383
ACTION: - IW to alter drawing templates to match information shown on LIGO templates (DM001 Feb 9th 2004) - DONE!
          C. CAD Software
SolidWorks 2004 (CIT, MIT, LHO, LLO, Birmingham and Glasgow).  Pro-Engineer "Wild Fire" (RAL)
DECISION: - translator from PRO-E to SolidWorks use .STEP files, reference T040112

II. DATA MANAGEMENT:
A. PDMWorks 2004  (Glasgow, MIT, LHO, LLO, CIT) - Data Management Vault, hosted at Cal tech
DECISION: - RAL to buy suitable version of PDMWorks 2004, MPL to assist. (DM001 Feb 9th 2004)
ACTION: - (MPL & RAJ) / IW to setup PDMWorks in GLA / RAL. (DM001 Feb 9th 2004)
B.  Active DCN (Document Change Notification, used with the release of drawings, documents, etc ...)
ACTION: - Lisa Bogue looking at an interactive DCN that allows "signatories" to sign at a central web location.
C. Web Portal (We access to the vault. Allows access by "signatories" to .pdf's etc ... of drawings associated with a DCN)
ACTION: - CIT / MP setting this up allow with the vault at Cal tech. MPL investigating opening a tunnel for access from UK
C. DCC (LIGO)
DESCRIPTION OF HOW TO AND WHAT TO USE WHEN RESERVING A NUMBER - ref: e-mail from CIT, Feb 9th 2004
DECISION: - CREATE .PDF FILES USING ADOBE PRO WITH EMBEDDED STEP FILES  (DM001 Feb 9th 2004)
ACTION: - CIT / MPL, JHR, IW to meet with LT and CM to discuss DCC requirements and SUS requirements on submitted drawings and documents

III. INTERACTIVE

          A. E-MAIL GROUP individual listing added to as required.
          B. NETWORK CAMERA - Now operating at CIT allowing access to conference room and white board.
          C. VNC - (ability to share view of desktop with collaborator)
DECISION: - Works for multiple participants when one selects "share" under OPTIONS!
          D. VRVS - (on-line video and audio conference facility)
DECISION: - Useful for one to one interactions and viewing piece parts (DM001 Feb 9th 2004)
          E. WEBEX - CIT tested. Looks good but is very expensive!

F. E-DRAWINGS
- (PRO-E Wild Fire and SolidWorks version available for free, very useful for exchanging assemblies
in particular with non-CAD users on the team). MPL http://www.geometricsoftware.com/edrawings/proe/
ACTION: - MPL to look at a version of E-drawings that works for Pro-E, SW etc ... - DONE (e-mail on 24th August 2004)
G. WEB PAGES
ACTION: - CIT to look at layout wrt comments / requirements from David Shoemaker on 9th March 2004 - see below!
Pages (or pointers or content) should exist on the 'entry page' for
-- organizational information: telecons, meetings, decision flowchart/orgcharts, and the WBS dictionary.
-- requirements and documents/calculations/models allowing requirements to be set
-- interfaces (pointer to the system ICD), RODAs, other interface information
-- design, general and detailed (dwgs)
-- prototype/labwork procedures, status, data, pointers to weblogs
-- status & schedule, including progress on WBS elements, technical progress (e.g. pointers to presentations, meetings)
-- elements particular to the subsystem in question (e.g., mass budget for Systems).

IV. MODELLING
