* The workshop on creating source working groups for interferometric gravitational wave detectors will be on March 20-23. Please see here for details.


** The MAC address is a set of six hexadecimal numbers and can be found written on the network card itself. It will look something like this: 08:2F:A4:E0:11:34. This number is sometimes separated by colons, spaces, or nothing.

Payment and registration not received prior to the start of the LSC Meeting will be accepted at the on-site registration table between the hours of 8:00 and 9:00 am, Wednesday, March 20th; however, cost will be greater for those who choose this method. In order to avoid long lines and distractions in the opening meeting, registration and payment in advance is GREATLY APPRECIATED!

If you request a number via email be sure to identify your presentation as being for the LSC Meeting. Your utmost cooperation in getting a number in advance is greatly appreciated!




GENERAL INFORMATION

If anyone attending the conference needs to be contacted during the meeting, please call Bonnie, LIGO Livingston Site Administrator at 225-686-3100.

Weather:

60’s and 70’s. Light jacket and rain gear suggested.

Computer Access:

Wireless networking is available in the form of 802.11b access points. The ESSID will be "LIGO". We recommend the use of the Lucent Orinoco wireless cards, but any card conforming to the 802.11b standard should work fine.

Wireless connection is available in both buildings. If you are planning to bring your laptop, please be sure to enter your MAC address during your registration. Questions concerning this matter can be addressed to Shannon Roddy.

There are also a few plug-in connections available in both buildings. Please see Shannon Roddy or Tom Evans on site for locations of these ports.

Food:

If you have any special dietary needs for any meals being served, please let Bonnie know in advance.
